Cleanse Your System – Spring Detox Smoothies

Feel like you need to kick-start your system to drop weight quickly? It’s not too late to change your eating habits so you can detoxify your body today! Check out these easy spring detox smoothie recipes to get lean this Spring.

Kale Me Maybe Smoothie

Get more bang for your buck with kale! There are so many benefits to having kale in your diet, some of which include the vitamins A, C & K that are in this leafy green.  Kale is also rich in calcium, low in calories and high in fiber and protein.
What You Need:
1 handful baby Kale
1/2 apple (without core and seeds)
1 cup Coconut Water
BLEND and ENJOY.
Fitness Tips :  For a more frothy smoothie, try making coconut water ice cubes the night before.
Katy Berry Smoothie
Rich in antioxidants, this berry smoothie, packs a punch with its nutritional benefits.  Some of these benefits include
  • Rich in antioxidants and
  • High in fiber.

The antioxidants will help detoxify your system and jump start your weight loss.

What You’ll  Need

1 1/2 cups Berry Mix (Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries)
1/2 cup Coconut Milk
1 cup Purified Water
1/8 cup rolled oats
BLEND.
Fitness Tips : I suggest using organic, frozen berries.  You’ll spend less time cleaning the berries because they are pre-washed, and they’ll give you a better consistency.  They also add a frothy iced taste that you’ll love.
Gluten Free Option :  Try getting gluten free oats if you are allergic 😉

Green Monster Smoothie
Avocados, although high in (good) fat, are rich in vitamins, including C, E and K, as well as rich in potassium. Bananas, besides being famous for potassium, are actually a good source of vitamin B and C. This Green Monster Smoothie will have you feeling full for your entire morning.
What You’ll Need:
1 avocado*
1 banana
1 cup blueberries
1 cucumber
A fistful of kale or romaine or spinach
Coconut water (or purified water)
Stevia, to taste, and/or a sprinkle of cinnamon or some cacao (optional)
*If desired, use coconut meat, raw almond butter, or nut milk in place of avocado. You can also add super foods like cacao (to taste)
BLEND and Enjoy!

Belly Buster Smoothie
“Papayas are an excellent source of vitamin C and one single medium fruit provides 224% of your daily needs.” (source)
Fitness Tips :  Papaya is also know as a great digestive aid.  It provides enzymes to help ease the digestive tract of bloat, gas, and toxins.

What You’ll need:

1 cup papaya
1 cup coconut kefir, coconut yogurt or cultured coconut milk
juice from ½ lime
1 tbsp raw honey
BLEND and Enjoy.
