Eating Low Carb and Paleo Just Got Easier With Paleo Wraps

April 13, 2015 by Adria Ali Leave a Comment

Eating on the go isn’t an easy task when you are trying to consume less carbs or eat paleo.  In most cases, you will have to make  your meals ahead of time, shop 2 – 3 times a weeks (for fresh meats and veggies), and cook on a pretty regular basis.  If you’re having an especially busy week, things can get challenging, however, using paleo wraps could be a life saver!   It can also help the average person cut down on their carbs.

What’s in a Paleo Wrap ?

Ingredients: *Coconut Meat, and *Coconut Water, *Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil (*Derived From Organic Coconuts)

Fitness Tips:  Use these paleo wraps to replace your standard corn or flour tortilla, they make for great chicken salad wraps , turkey wraps, and tuna wraps!

They look awesome but are they really that good??   I decided to check the reviews before I purchased them since they are 10 dollars (online).

Really tasty

I don’t care for the Paleo marketing, but I do care for a delicious wrap without a bunch of weird ingredients. I don’t usually have good experiences with ‘low carb’ or ‘gluten free’ products, as they’re typically filled with a bunch of crazy science-ingredients. But these wraps claim to simply be dehydrated, organic coconut meat. I’ve only had two so far, but they made for incredibly tasty wraps that were stuffed full of both ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ ingredients– with no breaking. Only minor complaint is the price, just a little steep, but they’re definitely not a rip off.

I like the taste, but mine are all broken in pieces so it’s very difficult to eat anything with it.

Awful Company w/ a Healthy Tasty Dream

Edit: I need to change my review based on multiple recent dealings with this company. I have to echo numerous other reviewers that Julian Bakery customer service does not exist and they refuse to communicate with you. Please be cautioned to not ever order other products from this company over their direct website, or you will undoubtedly be scammed. They are located in San Diego, CA and the BBB says they have 1 employee besides the two owners, that’s correct, “1 employee”, but they are attempting to hire some more? Further, their BBB rating is an “F”, so it is just not Amazon reviewers.

Now ordering Paleo wraps with Amazon Prime should be just fine since shipment is fulfilled and covered by Amazon, however given the reputation, horrific complaints and lack of employees, one has to wonder about the products themselves, on should suggest staying away from this company.  (read the rest of the review here)

Will definately purchase again!

I hesitated to make this purchase based on poor reviews, but chose to try them out since sometimes I need a portable lunch vs my usual heating up the previous night’s leftovers.

1. Yes, they’re expensive. However, I don’t use them daily, so it’s not a big deal. It’s still cheaper than eating out.
2. They’re naturally preserved (it’s just dried coconut), so if it takes me a month to go through them, it’s not a big deal.
3. For those who complained that they taste like coconut…. seriously?!?! Did you not read that they are MADE from coconut?!?! It’s not an overwhelming coconut-y flavor, but it’s there. Choose your fillings accordingly (it was a weird combo when I used them as a tortilla for tacos, but surprisingly not bad with tuna fish, they’re fabulous as a wrap for a cold sandwich or with any Thai/Indian filling). IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL. Use your brain. (read the full review here)

These reviews on paleo wraps were all pulled from Amazon.  Overall they received 4 out of 5 stars and most buyers were very pleased with their purchase.  If you would like to purchase this great low carb loop hole, you can find them at Whole Foods, and online at both Amazon and directly from the company (Julian Bakery).    We would love to hear from you!  If you love paleo wraps, write in and let us know how you use them and what your favorite recipes are!
