If you think you are doing everything you can at the gym to lose weight, but you just don’t seem to be getting the results that you desire, then it’s time to mix it up! People tend to see working out as either cardio or weight training. Who says that your weight training can’t boost your heart rate sporadically through out your routine? Circuit training is not new to the fitness community. However, for the average person they never think to add things like plyometrics and short burst of cardio in their weight training. For celebrity trainers, and exerpienced athletes, this is a “no brainer.”
Here’s your fitness challenge…. for every routine you do at the gym, add at least 2 jumping exercises (15 reps) or 2 cardio bursts (2 mins in length at a moderate to high intensity) . As you adapt to this, start adding in more segments. If you are getting really good, then try combining the jumping segments with cardio segments between your lifting exercises.
This is sure to shock your body into changing at a faster rate! Don’t forget, you MUST warm -up your muscle to do jumping routines!
