I had to go out of town this weekend and since I’m committed to a healthy lifestyle I prepared all my food, and froze some of my meals in freezer bags. I packed everything in my cooler and off the to airport. I had no problem getting through security with four days worth of food. This article gives you some fitness tips on staying healthy while traveling.
Fitness Tips For Travel:
*Plan your meals.
*Prep and pack your food.
*Do not bring water or liquid through security check point, purchase once you get through.
*Do not bring any silver sharp utensils, pick some up at the airport (ie; Starbucks has plastic spoons, Mc Donald’s has plastic forks and knives).
*Pick easy to eat snacks that are high in protein. Protein seems harder to find while traveling.
*Stretch before boarding. If you’re embarrassed then use a bathroom stall 😉
*Schedule in a workout or two.
*Pack active clothing so you don’t have any excuses not to workout and stay active.
*Stay close to your usual routine as much as possible. If you workout in the morning then try to do it when you wake up. If you take supplements, make sure to pack them.
*Don’t forget your tunes! Music is a powerful motivational tool. Make sure your ipod is handy!
*Stay hydrated! Water flushes toxins and boosts your energy level. It will keep you immune system high also.
