Hot chocolate is a staple during the cold winters. A nice soothing warm cup of magnesium filled chocolate will soothe the system, help you sleep deeper and magnesium is great for belly fat! This is my homemade recipe for making your very own dairy free hot chocolate that’s also gluten-free. You can opt to make it sugar-free with the right ingredients (listed below)!
Ingredients for Homemade Dairy Free Hot Chocolate
- 3-4 teaspoons of Ghiradelli cocoa (unsweetened)
- 1 cup of coconut milk (not light)
- 1 cup of water
- 10 – 20 drops of Vanilla Stevia (Sweet Leaf brand is my favorite) or your choice of sweetener. If you decide to use sugar it would be 1 -2 tablespoons.
Directions
- Heat coconut milk and water over medium-low heat.
- Then add in cocoa, stevia or sugar, and sweetener. Mix together thoroughly.
- Allow the sugar and cocoa to blend and heat.
- Serve warm.
