“Hair Spray Star” To Host Weight Loss Dancing Show

     Our friends at Fit Celeb.com got the scoop on this new show hosted by Marissa Winokur; Star of broadways “Hairspay.”   The show is a  combination of weight loss, dancing, and reality rolled into one.  She is leading a group of contestants on their way to a new life through dance and weight loss.  Changing lives can be tough!  However, Marissa thinks that all her dancing background has prepared her for this challenge. 

“When I left Hairspray, I’d lost 60 pounds. When I did Dancing With the Stars I was a plus-size dancer who’d gotten down to the skinniest I ever was.”

The summer show is scheduled to run from June (09).

   This could actually be fun to watch!  Marissa isn’t your usual host.  Formerly overweight, she has lost weight being active.  In the fitness community; some of the best coaches (or trainers) are the people that have gone through the weight loss journey.  They understand the frustration, the struggles, and what it truly takes to lose weight.  Marissa  comes from a background of weight loss so she has a lot to offer the contestants. 

    The show is called “Dance Your A** Off.”  It will be shown on the Oxygen Network come June.

    I'd watch dancing on TV anytime. But remember, most of the celebrities on DWTS are practicing for 5 or more hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week. If I were to practice my dancing for 5 or more hours a day, I'd drop the weight, too. Besides, if Tony Dovolani was my teacher, I'd be using every second of his time.
