Hot Or Not – The Workout Office Chair – Gymygym

Science has been trying to counteract our sedentary life styles for some time now.  New diet pills, new surgeries, new weight loss devices and new “smart weight” prepackaged foods have become everyday topics.  The problem with most gimmicks on the market is that they don’t address the underlying issues.  Weight loss is tied to calorie burning or calorie deficits.  The best way to lose is essentially to get up and MOVE.  This new invention keeps you moving all day long and has the ability to relieve stress while on the job.

The ergonomic office chair sits in front of your computer and allows you to work out with elastic resistance straps while you sit. You can do number of exercises with the chair for your arms, legs, back, and core. The thing looks really cool too.

It looks like a chair made for gamers with a lot of elastic straps. I wonder how comfortable the thing is. The look sort of reminds me of those cheap lawn chairs with all the plastic straps. The chair is cool, but one of the downsides is the cost, the seat sells for $599 (USD) with free shipping or $299 with three more payments of $133 (Source).

To some, this chair may seem a bit unrealistic or odd.  Others, may find it encouraging and practical.  Personally, I would love all of my clients to have one of these.  This chair could give them the edge they need while minimizing stressful work environments!
