Top Spring Cleaning Calorie Burners

Some people hate to clean… me on the other hand.. I LOVE IT!  I can’t stand coming home to a dirty house; therefore I am always cleaning!  I found this great calorie breakdown for all of those “clean freaks!”  Most clean freaks ALSO love to workout; so here is the break down for all the busy bodies out there……

Activity: Calories burned (per 30 minutes)*:
Doing laundry 73
Dusting 85
Gardening 184
Ironing 77
Mopping the floor 153
Mowing the lawn (push mower) 148
Raking the lawn 135
Rearranging furniture 225
Washing dishes 77
Washing the car 153
Washing windows 105
Weeding the yard 153

If you have a bodybugg then you know that cleaning is a huge workout.  However, for those who don’t, this is a great chart to gauge how many extra calories you can burn while doing household chores.

Maybe next time you clean your house you will approach it with less dread and more enthusiasm!
