Use the Selfie App to Motivate Your Weight Loss – Watch Your Images Morph Into a New Person

Technology is one of the greatest influencers we have today. In everything we do, from business decisions to our dining choices, technology has a huge role to play! Innovators are thriving on this technology boom and are making our lives simpler with new and improved inventions each day. Though we cannot ignore the convenience of the tech era, we also have to agree that its made us a lot lazier.  Ironically enough, technology can also save us from ourselves and help us stay motivated and fit. With the new fitness apps gaining momentum, a lot of people are using technology as a medium to keep tabs on their fitness goals!

One such app called Everyday for iPhone recently launched its version 2.0. The app reminds you to take a selfie everyday at the same time. Once you have a good collection of selfies, the app merges them into a video and shows you how you have changed over time.  Though the underlying purpose of this app isn’t fitness per se, we’ll tell you how it can help you reach (and maintain) your weight loss goal:

 

  1. Track Your Daily Progress (Visually) – People who are on a quest to lose weight often lose their will to continue with their weight loss regimen when they don’t see visible results. Even if their weighing scale tells them otherwise, they may not be able to see the difference that your body has undergone over a period. With the Everyday app, you can monitor your physical changes over time, and the positive progress is sure to keep you motivated to reach your end goal.

 


 

  1. Be Your Own Inspiration – Your gym may have a barrage of motivational before and after posters, but with the help of the Everyday app, you don’t need to look elsewhere for inspiration. Seeing your body transform each day through your weight loss journey is an excellent morale booster and is sure to make you believe in your capabilities more than ever. No longer do you need to skim through fashion magazines for an incentive.

 

  1. Buddy Up – Another fun way this app can help you stick to your weight loss goal is by connecting you with others who are there to support you through your journey. Form a group of people – your friends, dietician, trainer or doctor to share your constant weight loss progress. This will help you get an outsider’s perspective on how well you are doing, and the possible changes that you should make in terms of your exercise regimen and dietary plans. They’ll give you just the right amount of encouragement when you feel like giving up!

 

  1. Be More Determined Towards Your Goal – Your body may not look attractive in a bikini today, but after a month, it surely will if you continue to work towards your fitness goal.  Having visible goals to work towards will help you streamline your efforts in terms of following healthy diet plans or amping up your workout intensity.

 

In addition to maintaining a pictorial track record of your weight loss plan, make sure to keep a weekly account of your vitals (weight, BMI and inches) as well.
