The worst thing about leaning up is being hungry. Sensa has hit the scene to keep the weight off but there are also natural ways to keep your hunger at bay. Stay full longer with these fitness tips.
Tips to Stay Full
1.) Cabbage – I noticed while playing the “Game On Diet,” that cabbage kept me full for hours at a time. Pretty soon I was letting all my team mates in on this new secret I had discovered. Sneak it into your dishes, into your salads and onto your plate.
2.) Water – If you drink water when you are hungry, you’ll notice that some of that hunger goes away within 10 mins of drinking a full 8 oz of water. Hold out, drink your water before consuming.
3.) Organic Broths – Soups in general give you a warm filling feeling. Organic broth added to your diet can help. The key is to get organic broth that does not contain excitotoxins. These are ingredients that cause neurological disorders because they overexcite and harm nerve cells. Those ingredients are MSG,yeast extract, autolyzed yeast extract, hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, and other similar ingredients (source). I like to use the low sodium soups so that I don’t experience any bloating.
4.) Protein – If you aren’t getting enough of this good stuff, then you will find yourself searching the kitchen late at night. Protein shakes in the evenings ( before the cravings hit ) helps control your blood sugar, fill you up and keeps you from craving.
5.) Prunes – These aren’t just for the elderly. Prunes are a high fiber food which means that eating them keeps you satisfied longer. Not to mention, they will keep you regular.
6.) Nut Up – Nuts are full of fiber, rich in protein and low in carbs. They are packed full of “good fats” which are help you stay full without excess sugars.
7.) GO Green – Leafy greens are filled with vitamins, iron, and fiber. The extra roughage adds bulk to your meals and makes you feel as though you have had loads of calories without packing on the pounds. Fit tip– don’t ruin your lean meal with high fat dressings.
Use some of these foods to stay full longer. Being successful isn’t just about diet and exercise. Sometimes the little tips that you learn along the way are what make you successful long term.
