Women and even men always ask about what they call “knee fat.” You know the skin on the inner and outer portion of your knee. On fit people, these places are filled with muscle, which gives them a sleek defined look. However, for others it can mean the difference between wearing shorts or pants.
The Main Reason’s For “Knee Fat”
- Body Fat – Fat doesn’t discriminate! It will store anywhere it feels like! Even around your knee caps. Banish fat with proper “clean eating” and consistent workout routines.
- Lack Of Muscle Tone – If you are already lean, you can add definition in this area pretty quick with some basic exercises (leg extensions, lunges, leg press, squats, etc.)
- A Wise Physical therapist once told me that you can only get the inner quad muscles to activate by using “Full Extension ” of the joint. This means you must straighten your leg completely during key exercises to target this area. For example, doing a leg extension all the way to the top of the movement.
- Decrease Sodium Intake – Increased sodium can lead to water retention. This can cause excess swelling which makes your body appear puffy. Decreasing your sodium can give you a leaner look all around.
