Even if you aren’t gluten intolerant or have Celiacs disease, you may want to have your drinks gluten free! Beers, barleys, and malts can lead to bloating. You can drink and keep your midsection in a deflated state during your outings. Who doesn’t want that!?? If you are gluten free then this gluten free liquor list is a must!!
Gluten Free Vodka
Not all vodka is gluten free so you have to find the ones that are made of potato or grapes.
Ciroc – Grape based vodka Chopin – Potato based vodka
Gluten Free Tequila
Jose Cuervo Gold – This is a good choice if you don’t react to agave (since tequila is made from it). However, don’t go cheap!!! Cheap liquor usually has fillers. These fillers usually are barley, malt, and wheat.
Skinny Girl Cocktails
If you’re craving a gluten-free Margarita, Here’s the official word from SkinnyGirl Margaritas:
“The ingredients in Skinnygirl Margarita are not produced from cereals containing gluten and do not contain gluten.”
Personally, I think they are SUPER SMART for labeling themselves as gluten free!
Gluten Free Rum – They say that all rum is gluten free BUT I have personally debunked that! I can only have plain light rums. Any rum with color I can’t tolerate.
Go for the clear rum – If it’s dark, there is more of a chance of additives. Bacardi is always a good choice, but get plain rum. Added flavors are usually hiding gluten.
Champagne – Don’t go for the cheap stuff! Go big or go home sick! Pick a decent brand and just drink less! You will thank me in the morning!
DRINKS THAT AREN’T GLUTEN FREE — Anything that is a MALT beverages will send gluten intolerant people into fits of cramping.
Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Smirnoff Ice are both malt. Mike’s says it’s gluten free but after consuming it I know that it can’t be! Beer is a no no unless it is labeled gluten free. There are also ciders that are gluten free so keep an eye out for those.
If you are looking to have a good time but you don’t want to walk out of the bar with an extra 5 pounds of bloat, then this is the list for you!
