While watching an infomercials I saw yet another ab machine.  Like many, they make huge promises, and have awesome weight loss stories to back up their product.  However, people don’t want to know what the infomercial promises, they want to know what people are saying on the web, in the supermarket, at the bank, and in the real world.  To our surprise,  fellow fitness enthusiast and reality star  Rebecca Cardon  (from “Workout), was promoting this product.  Here is what others have to say about this product online.

“The Ab Rocket Twister allows you to rock back and forth and twist from side to side to exercise your abdominal and core muscles. The twisting motion is designed to tone your love handles and strengthen the obliques. The infomercial says that using it is as easy as sitting in a rocking chair and that the product’s soft rollers give you a back massage as you do yourworkout. That is probably debatable but we’ll see what people think as more Ab Rocket Twister reviews come rolling in (source).”

i was so happy when i finally received my ab twister that i had the biggest smile on my face from the post office all the way home. the minute i used it, smh my back hurt like hell. the ab twister is sooo uncomfortable. no matter what position i put my self in i just couldn’t get comfortable. im sending it back today. i only had it for about 19 hours. im so disappointed. oh and the video that i got with 5 workouts are only 5 mins long each! wtf! dont buy it!

I just received my ab rocket twister today. I heard reviews that the ab rocket original is poorly constructed. The twister on the other hand seems to be pretty strong. Make sure you use two tension coils on either side to increase the resistance. The twisting part really burns your abs after you have done sit ups for a while. I think it’s a pretty good machine.

warning: this thing is not made for big people. i bought it and have only been able to use it 3 times because it’s so uncomfortable. it also gives you very little support if you’re heavy like me. i might give it another try after i lose some weight but i also might just return it!

After waiting for weeks I finally got my Ab Rocket Twister a couple of days ago. I REALLY like it so far. Unlike most of the exercise equipment and fitness infomercial gadgets I own I can actually see myself using the thing on a daily basis. It really works the abdominal muscles well and the twisting action gets all your core muscles involved. It’s not easy but it’s definitely not as hard as doing plain old crunches!

I ordered the Ab Rocket and was happy when it came….. Til I started using it. The seat sits on a small post, so when I sit on it and begin my workout, it feels as though the seat is going to break, or fall off. It doesn’t click with every sit up like they said it would. The springs are not strong enough… I mean I know im a big girl but, really the springs need to be more resistant. Other then that, the equipment is ok. Now, when I called to tell them they told me I had to pay for the shipping…. If I just paid for the trial of 30 days, and I only had it for 17hours why should I have to pay??? The shipping total was $34, why in the heck would I pay that?? The lady said she put in a replacement order….. why am I still waiting for it to come, yet they are taking my money out of my account. smh!!!

hi i just wanted to say that i’ve been using the new ab rocket twister for almost 2 weeks now and i pretty much like it            so far. i’d give it a 7 out of 10 in terms of giving you a good ab workout at home. the twisting action takes some                        getting used to and to be honest i don’t think i’ll use it much but the ab-rocking motion is definitely effective. and to              the person below: if you don’t know how to use such a simple machine just by looking at it you should probably stop            trying to using any exercise equipment period!

Don’t buy it. It was a waste of time and money. I tried to ab rocket twister and paid the 14.95 trial offer. When I                       received it, I only got one DVD-extreme workout session (why they would send this instead of the 4 dvd’s they said             would come with it). When I called to to return, the rep said that I had to pay for the return and that the 14.95 was               not refundable. I haven’t shipped it yet, but I know it’s going to be expensive. The reason why I’m return this                           product is because I could not get comfortable sitting in it. There were no proper instructions as to how one should             be using the machine. Maybe it was on one of the dvd’s I didn’t get…

It seems as though the Ab Rocket Twister has gotten some mixed reviews.  While some reviews were positive, others were negative.  A common theme among many was the comfort of the product.  One of the main selling points on the infomercial was that you could “get a back massage” as you preformed your routine.  Yet, these people claim that it’s poorly constructed and wasn’t what they expected.

It’s always a good idea to find reviews on products before you buy them.  Infomercials were made to SELL, SELL, SELL!  They have perfected the art of appeal.  Invest your money wisely and check our site and others to get your answers before you buy.

Lunges and squats are the pinnacle of any exercise and weight loss routine.  They help to increase your metabolism, firm up your inner thighs, butt and increase balance.  While watching tv the other day, I saw this interesting machine that addresses both lunges and squats.  Watch the videos below from the Ellen and their own infomercial.

As a trainer, I see many things wrong with this device.  Although it makes it easier to preform each exercise, it doesn’t correct your form.  As you will notice in the infomercial, the model performs a squat.  During a squat, your knees should never go past your toes.  This leads to joint issues and improper alignment.

The machine DOES help with balance, however, the beauty of both lunges and squats is the balancing factor.  Challenging your balance helps to stimulate stabilizing muscles, which increases the calories expenditure and improves your balance in everyday life.

Thinking about spending your money on this contraption???   We vote NOT!  If you currently do these exercises and struggle with balance, do them next to a wall.  Place your FINGER TIPS on the wall as you perform the exercise.  Doing the lunges and squats this way helps you to improve your own balance which will aid you in your everyday life.   We encourage everyone to workout, so if this machine is the only way you are going to get off the couch, buy it and use it!
