Do YOU Drink Alkaline Water?

August 9, 2012 by Adria Ali Leave a Comment

Alkaline Water
Maybe the question above should have read “Do you know what Alkaline Water is?”

Technically Alkaline Water is water with a high pH. What is pH in water you ask? It describes the acidity in your water. In simple terms, the higher the acidity you have in your body the more cancer can survive and all of us know that acidic foods like chips, red meat, dairy, etc. are not good for you and eating them on the daily can be bad for your health, well the same goes for water. Drinking acidic water, like most regular bottled water with the exception of Fiji Water, is bad for you and killing the environment.

Alkaline foods

We all know we should eat better and if we ate more naturally alkaline foods like asparagus and broccoli, which are rich in minerals then we wouldn’t be suffering from things like cancer. We are what we eat is a true statement, but I think it should be, “We are what we consume.”

Now I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer, but who has time to eat the recommended amount of vegetables a day? Who even has time to cook a meal a day? After work, picking up the kids and showing your significant other love, what’s left for you? This is when we become sick, we eat poorly and don’t work out, this is when drinking alkaline water can really help you.

Now if you don’t live in a super health conscious city, like West Hollywood, this may be the first time you’re really hearing what alkaline water actually is. Lucky for you that’s why I’m here!

Here are some facts on Alkaline Water:

1. Smaller water clusters, so you become more hydrated, without that full feeling.

2. Natural Alkaline Water is made from minerals, which your body doesn’t create, like potassium, calcium and magnesium, these are loaded with anti-oxidants.

3. Alkaline Water detoxifies you, literally, by secreting and pushing out impurities.

You’re probably thinking “Where do I get Alkaline Water???”

You can get bottled alkaline water at Whole Foods. I prefer saving the planet so I took the leap and bought a system. Now you’re thinking “Where do I buy a system and how do I know which system is the best??”

I’m sure you’ve all heard of Kangen Water. Kangen water comes from Japan and it makes tap water alkaline by shocking the water with electricity. That doesn’t sound very pure to me. So I searched long and hard and discovered this site and I really liked Alkaline Organic Water. I’ve been drinking Alkaline Organic Water for a while now. I like it primarily because it makes alkaline water naturally, without electricity, just water pressure. Also, it’s made in the USA, Southern California in fact. I love supporting local farmers, why not support my local Alkaline Water filter makers? Of course, you may not all be able to make the switch asap, but I’m telling you, Alkaline Water is the future. You might as well start drinking it now, but if you can’t buy a system, try this morning regiment to get your body more alkalined.

1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt(the purest salt)
1/2 a squeezed lemon
8 ounces of water

Drink Up,
Bianca
