This could be a big shocker to some, but our food is FULL of sugar! Most people never think to check the label for grams of sugar. The vast majority will look at calories, fat, carbs and even cholesterol. So where did we go wrong in our education about food and sugar? If you aren’t watching it already, Thintervention, with Jackie Warner, gave the world more insight with this fitness tip.
If you follow this guideline you will find that about 3/4 of the food in your home is packed full of sugar. Things like sauces, marinades, dressings, and processed foods; are a huge target for sugar. Integrating this rule of thumb into your eating could mean huge success on the scale!
Try it out! Start looking at the labels on your food. If it has more then 5 grams of sugar per serving then don’t eat it. It might take some time at first, but eventually you will become familiar with foods that don’t contain high volumes of added sweeteners. Sure, this is a huge challenge, but it’s worth the time. You might go through some “sugar withdrawals,” you could even be a bit cranky for a couple days. After the sugar leaves your system you will no longer crave it. Once it’s gone you will be indestructible in your efforts to lose weight and cut unneeded calories in your daily life.
