The Story Behind The Skinny Rules
If you aren’t following Bob’s twitter, then you might want to run to your computer and do it NOW. The idea from the book originated from his account. Ben, the husband of the winner of season 11 (Oliva ) had been following Bob’s tweets for through out the duration of the season of “The Biggest Loser.” He simply began eating like bob. Harper’s “Tweet What You Eat,” became Ben’s guidance. By the end of season 11, Ben had dropped 100 pounds!
“I just followed Bob. I watched his tweets. I listened to what he said he ate. I figured, how can I go wrong? This is what the expert is eating! And that decluttered everything. It made it incredibly clear to me what mattered and what mattered with my diet. It … kind of gave me a set of rules (source).”
Ben let Bob in on his secret and the idea of the book was born.
The rules helped Ben “declutter” his mind. The rules also gave Ben boundaries in a world without structure. They allowed him to clear out the excess clutter and insert clear instructions based on his eating habits.
