In high school, being vegan wasn’t just a way to stay thin, it was also some sort of artist statement against the general public. More and more people are turning to the Vegan lifestyle as a way to get, and stay thin. Ginnifer Goodwin gives the inside scoop on how being vegan keeps her thin and why she chose to go this lifestyle.
“I was having my morning coffee, and I was pouring milk into it, and all I can say is that I suddenly realized what it was that I was pouring into my coffee. I was so disgusted, because I had never actually stopped to think about what milk is. And dairy had always been my favorite food group! I thought, ‘Surely this feeling will pass,’ but at lunchtime I was still disgusted. Over the next few days, I started really thinking about what I was eating,” Ginnifer told W.
The actress says that a vegan diet has given her the ability to eat more and stay the same size.
“I don’t have to worry about the fact that I’m having spaghetti for lunch! I enjoy food more. I’ve cut out so many calories [by not eating] animal products, but I’m certainly making them up in other areas. So my cholesterol is better and I’ve stayed the exact same size but I’m eating more in quantity, which is my natural inclination. I’m a big eater.”
And though Ginnifer loves her vegan lifestyle, she is quick to acknowledge that it doesn’t suit everyone.
“So many people say to me, ‘I tried, and it was too hard,’ or ‘I had to cheat,’ and I always think, ‘Then it’s not right for you.’ You shouldn’t have to try.”

In every type of eating there are things that can pack on the pounds. I know many vegetarian that over consume cheese, and vegans that love to get high fat foods. You must have self control in every way of eating. In, Ginnifer’s case, she made a choice based on her perception of the world; not to drop weight. Make sure your life choices are always for the right and healthiest reasons.
