I am often asked by clients, how to lose those last stubborn 5-10 pounds. The first thing I ask my clients is about their diet, then I ask about their workouts and I make some changes and get that weight-loss kick started again. But what happens if you don’t have the benefit of a personal trainer and are trying your best to achieve this on your own and it is just not happening? Well then you do what I did years ago and you start researching and reading. One of my favorite authors is Tosca Reno and I have read all her books. One of my favorites that I often refer to when I need it, is called The Eat Clean Diet Stripped.
The Eat Clean Diet Stripped book breaks it down. The bottom line weight-loss is 10% genetics, 10% training, and 80% Nutrition. If you noticed above when I said the first thing I ask my clients when they plateau is about their diet (nutrition). I am a strong believer that nutrition is the key to weight-loss. The Eat-Clean Diet Stripped book gives you examples of how to eat and menu plans. It is also important to learn how often to eat. I can go on and on about how much I love this book. You will learn how to calculate your MHR (maximum heart rate), understand fuel consumption (food as fuel), get a training program, and the book is filled with recipes too.
Another favorite section of mine in this book is “Tricks of the Trade… Learn how to detox your body, learn how to look like you’ve lost 10 pounds without doing a thing, and learn a more about the enemy… dunt dunt dunt… Cellulite; what’s going on, what to do, what to avoid, what to increase, and when to expect results.
If you choose to pick up this book, I know you’ll love it… and if you don’t love it, well… I know you’ll learn something. Education is always a plus.
